Have enjoyed the food from here for a couple of years now, buying my lunch there four or five times every week. Recently standards have been falling badly. I'm not alone in thinking this as ive heard comments from work colleagues and even from people waiting in the queue for food. For me today was the last straw though. I paid £4.50 for Macaroni cheese, chips and a small bottle of water. The food was about half the normal portion and far from hot. What macaroni I was given came in three lumps that had dried out and stuck together. What I was served was essentially the loose stuff that had been baking under the lights and NOTHING from the fresher, untouched food. Despite asking for salt and ketchip on the chips, I got none, nor was i thanked for my custom, as soon as I handed over my money, the assistant was shouting "who's next". I appreciate it did appear to be a new assistant that was serving me but he was being directly (if badly) supervised by the owner who was giving instructions in a language other than english - why? What was I not supposed to hear?
Suffice it to say that the meal ended up in the bin and I bought a sandwich elsewhere. I will not be returning but for their own sake, I hope they pick up their standards again. It's a shame to watch a good business going downhill.
I managed to get a small sachet of salt on the way out but alas no forks so had to eat with a spoon!
